The drying effects of late-winter sun and wind can take a serious toll on your valuable landscape, and especially on young shrubs and trees. We can help.
Anti-dessicant spray, a liquid application, will reduce the damage due to cold, dry winter winds blowing across exposed plants. This causes loss of moisture, which cannot be replaced because plants are dormant and ground moisture is frozen. As a result, dehydration can cause browning or burning of foliage. This treatment is especially effective for broadleaf evergreens and for all young trees and shrubs.
In the Cape May area very few hardy, mature plants require winter wrapping. Newly-planted trees and shrubs, as well as plants that are borderline in our planting zone are exceptions. Wrapping can help protect them.
For plants that need to come inside for the winter, we offer greenhouse maintenance.
